Retail Express Architecture

Retail Express (REX) has developed their solution in an unorthodox manner with regards to Magento architecture because they use flat file import/export.  This has the unfortunate consequence of bypassing all automated synchronisation possibilities making it impossible via standard practices for integration solutions like Codisto LINQ to be 'informed' of changes to the catalog i.e. when an item is sold.

Order payment status

When using Retail Express with Magento and Codisto LINQ it is necessary to map the Codisto payment method to a payment method in the Retail Express Configuration (Magento Admin > System > POS System (v1.7) > Settings > Payment Methods. Add eBay Order to POS Payment > PayPal to have eBay orders show as paid with PayPal.

 

Stopping Combined orders duplicating orders in REX

Go to Marketplace Orders screen and change setting to "Only send orders when buyer has: Paid".

That means all pending / uncombined orders don’t get sent.  Then buyer pays which settles final combining state so REX only sees final combined state.
