Formatting Magento, WooCommerce, Shopify order number

By default, Codisto creates eBay & Amazon orders in your ecommerce platform with the sequential order number.  However, it is possible to change the default setting.

The change is made in the "Manage orders" menu of the "Marketplaces | Codisto" menu in your ecommerce platform Admin. At the bottom of the screen there is a "format order number" field.

The concept is identical for Amazon and eBay. There is a tab for each in the Manage Orders screen. Only the available formatting tags vary by marketplace.

Several formatting options exist:

  • Enter {ebaytransactionid} (include the curly brackets) to REPLACE the default order number with the eBay transaction id
  • Enter {ebaysalesrecordnumber} (include the curly brackets) to REPLACE the default order number with the eBay sales record number
  • Enter {amazonorderid} (include the curly brackets) to REPLACE the default order number with the Amazon Order ID
  • Enter any free form text to PREPEND to the existing default number default.  e.g. Entering "eBay" will return 'eBay 12345678' (where 12345678 is the default order number).
  • Enter a combination of {ebaytransactionid} and text in any order to PREPEND OR APPEND to the eBay transaction id
  • Enter a combination of {ebaysalesrecordnumber} and text in any order to PREPEND OR APPEND to the eBay sales record number
  • Enter a combination of {ordernumber} and text in any order to PREPEND OR APPEND to the default order number
