Configuring Codisto's Behavior towards BigCommerce Order Statuses
On BigCommerce you can customize how Codisto behaves towards the order status you set depending on your order fulfillment process.
Go to Settings > Manage Status
You will see this screen
Suppress Status
If the checkbox under Suppress Status for the corresponding BigCommerce Order status is checked, we will never send an update to BigCommerce to change the status of the order while it is in that status. This is useful if you have workflows that rely on a specific status.
This checkbox can be used as a lock to prevent Codisto from changing this status even when prompted by the connected marketplace.
For example, if an order on eBay updates to a Completed status while the corresponding BigCommerce order is at the time marked "Awaiting Shipment", and the checkbox for it under Suppress Status is ticked, Codisto will not update the order's status to Completed when it would otherwise do so.
By default, the Suppress Status is enabled on the following statuses:
- 8 - Awaiting Pickup
- 9 - Awaiting Shipment
If you need to prevent Codisto from updating order status even when prompted by the connected marketplace, tick the box on the corresponding row under the Suppress Status column, and then Save.
Shipment Status
If the checkbox under Shipment Status for the corresponding BigCommerce Order status is checked, Codisto will treat the status as Shipped and will update the marketplace accordingly.
Remember that Codisto is only allowed to retrieve and send fulfillment information once per order. Please make sure that you have already input the Tracking and Carrier information before, or as you set the order on any of the BigCommerce status options for which the Shipment Status checkbox is enabled.
By default, the Shipment Status is enabled on the following statuses:
- 2 - Shipped
- 9 - Awaiting Shipment (on older accounts)
- 10 - Completed
Tick the checkboxes for the status you want Codisto to consider as your prompt to mark the order as fulfilled according to your business' order fulfillment process, and then Save.
